Death metal and technical grind have an interesting way of co-existing. While each genre shares characteristics with the other it would seem that many bands would rather stay narrow in scope and keep the two as oil and water. However some outstanding young acts in the last few years have managed to rejuvenate the underground by encompassing more of extreme metal’s tangents and delivering some very impacting and fresh ideas into a seemingly over-cooked stew. Despised Icon, Beneath The Massacre, Leng Tch’e and others have thrown all caution (and rules) into the wind and are re-defining the death and grind genres with vibrant ideas and unrelenting delivery. Oakland’s ALL SHALL PERISH are cut from that same jib; delivering brutal music that possesses a natural need to experiment and push the boundaries of the extreme underground. Their second offering, The Price Of Existence, will turn the death metal and underground hordes on their collective ear, and when all is said and done the band is sure to be touted as one of the best young extreme acts from the West Coast in this new millennium.
Finding common ground with a taste for such bands as Dying Fetus, Opeth, Cannibal Corpse, Hatebreed, Blood Has Been Shed and At The Gates, ALL SHALL PERISH formed with the intent of not being labeled with the restricting monikers of "death metal", "hardcore" or "metalcore", rather they simply wanted to brutalize audiences and get people moving. The band's 2005 Nuclear Blast debut Hate, Malice, Revenge proved that they were capable of blending various styles while delivering memorable and intelligent songs to all fans of metal and hardcore. Their live show brought the band's vicious attack from coast to coast with such known acts like Six Feet Under, Agnostic Front, As I Lay Dying, Bleeding Through, Brujeria, Dying Fetus, Diecast and Hate Eternal, and before anyone knew it ALL SHALL PERISH had racked up almost 10,000 units via Soundscan.
Change is inevitable, and when you’re 100% committed to your art it’s imperative that only the best people be involved. ASP took the necessary steps to outfit themselves with the best line-up available for The Price Of Existence. New vocalist Hernan “Eddie” Hermida’s delivery adds more depth and clarity to the band's overall impact, while the technical skills of guitarist Ben Orum and new axesmith Chris Storey are as top-notch as those of the most seasoned players in underground metal (“Prisoner Of War” and “There Is No Business To Be Done On A Dead Planet” are perfect examples). Powerhouse drummer Matt Kuykendall gives a heart stopping performance, immediately ranking him just under such elite players as Flo Mounier (Cryptopsy) and Derek Roddy (Hate Eternal). Tracks like "Eradication", “We Hold These Truths” and the ever-so-catchy “Wage Slaves” are brutal and would knock a gorilla on its backside, while “The Last Relapse” and the moody instrumental “Interlude” show a melodic side to the band which proves that ALL SHALL PERISH have forged ahead light years and have delivered a regal metal gem. The Price Of Existence is demanding indeed!

After a full immersion in the Outer Sound Studios, and some great times spent with the producer Giuseppe Orlando (also featured as a special guest on the album), the band is ready to unleash “The Gorgon Cult” wordwide. The album is released on the 26 of April (once again Japan has the chance to listen to the Cd long before the other countries, having the album released on 15 March, eriched by a bonus track) and it’s distributed from Europe to U.S., from Japan to Russia and so on; in a short time “The Gorgon Cult” turns out to be one of Stormlord’s most appreciated works ever, as the high ratings of enthusiastic reviews on countless magazines and webzines testify. Stormlord celebrate the album release with two crowded shows, first one in Roma, second one in. Lugano (CH), gaining an amazing feedback.
On the 6 of June Stormlord attend their biggest open air festival ever, playing at the “Gods Of Metal” together with legends like Motörhead, Sodom, Alice Cooper, Twisted Sister, Testament, Judas Priest, Symphony X, Nevermore, Naglfar, Stratovarius and many more.
After the summer time, the band shoots the video for the song “Under The Boards (195, M.A.)”, taken from “The Gorgon Cult”. Once again is Brigida Costa behind the camera, supported by the amazing special fx’s of David Bracci’s Fanta-X and a special help from the horror legend Sergio Stivaletti (often at work with Darion Argento and not only). This time the things are even more professional than the “I Am Legend” clip, so the video is enriched by the presence of two great actors: Giuseppe Oppedisano (“Cari Fottutissimi Amici”, “The English Patient”, “Demonium” etc.) and Irene Turati (already seen on Pupi Avati’s set). Due to its heavy contents, the video is banned from the tv channels, but it quickly reachs a cult status all across the internet being spread through thousand of downloads, thrilling legions of fans and splatter/gore freaks.
At the end of the year the band get in touch with Scarlet Records in order to organize their next tour, bound to start in March 2005 together with Necrodeath.In the meanwhile, Stormlord begin to work on the new songwriting process for the fourth full lenght album.
23 of May 2008 Locomotive Records will release the long awaited fourth album, titled “Mare Nostrum!They just can say that they love their new songs, they sound epic like in the old times without forgetting the style of “The Gorgon Cult”.There are a lot of new solutions that they never used before like sitar, folk parts, gloomy clean vocals, “Mediterrean” ethnic instruments and an amazing drum work. Their singer Cristiano has sealed his best performance so far, going from high pitch screaming to earthquaking growls, while the keyboard work, now up to their guitar/keyboard player Gianpaolo, is the most Epic thing they’ve ever done in ten years.Expect a bombastic yet furious avalanche of Extreme Epic Metal, we know that some people has been waiting for this since a long time, we will not disappoint them.

When the empire falls saw the light of day When two guys,Rami and Markus started playing together mainly just for fun. Soon they realized the material they wrote,was something special. 
Time to call in the troops... Rami knew Rolle from their previous project,so he was the natural choice for the drums. First bassist Maria was their old friend, so she agreed to play with the boys. After convincing singer Tommi that you Actually can write melodies and lyrics to these songs, W.T.E.F. was born.
After writing some material the band entered the studio and came out with a 3 piece promo. A bit later they signed a record deal. At the same time Maria left the band due to personal reasons, but luckily Markus knew Ville,who replaced Maria. So the work has started to make W.T.E.F. familliar to metal fans all over.
